Captivating Kate Beckinsale
With a new leading role under her belt and a “leap of faith” outlook on life, Beckinsale is better than ever
It’s an icy afternoon in New York City, and Kate Beckinsale, who just flew in from her home in balmy Los Angeles, is feeling pretty f-ing frigid. We’re cozied up at a corner table in the lobby of her hotel, soaking up every last ray of sun streaming through the windowsill. It’s at this particular moment, in the blinding rays of daylight, that I come to the conclusion that Beckinsale, who is being extraordinarily British as she orders up an English breakfast tea with milk, is damn near perfect. She is witty, sarcastic, hysterical, and intelligent, not to mention the obvious: She is drop-dead gorgeous. But the best part of all of it just may be that she seems completely unaware of her sensational beauty, both inside and out. Twenty-four hours earlier, we spent all day shooting our cover story at The Beekman hotel’s stunning turret penthouse downtown. Beckinsale, again in the freezing cold, modeled hot pants and crop tops like a champ. Meanwhile, I stood in the corner in cashmere shivering like I was naked in the middle of the Antarctic. Perhaps it’s this same diligence and utmost dedication to the task at hand that is responsible for her métier in acting.Read More

The UK broadcaster and international streaming service are set to air the eight-episode drama from The Missing writers Harry and Jack Williams this spring. The series is produced by the Williams’ All3Media-backed Two Brothers Pictures.
Filming took place in South Africa, Wales and Rotterdam in the drama, which sees the The Only Boy Living in New York star play Georgia Wells, who has cut herself off from her previous life and is no longer the woman she once was. After seeing her “late” husband on the news, she is pulled back to face the world and will stop at nothing until she gets the truth about her past. Described as an emotional, gut-wrenching thriller, The Widow will take Georgia into the depths of the African Congo where danger and revelation will greet her at every turn.
The Widow will premiere on ITV in the UK and on Prime Video in the U.S. and more than 200 countries and territories. The series is produced by Eliza Mellor (Liar), directed by Sam Donovan (Humans) and Olly Blackburn (Donkey Punch), and distributed globally by All3Media International.

Such a huge honour and pleasure to host the @laartshow honouring @stjude. And to meet lovely Mia and her family who benefited from the extraordinary care @stjude offers sick children. The fact that the families pay nothing, from travel costs to food, lodging or treatment, and that @stjude has pushed the overall survival rate of childhood cancer from 20% to 80% since it began in 1962 is so moving and inspiring. Thank you for asking me to host and thank you Mia for drawing me this beautiful picture ❤️ @stjude @laartshow
